Hello again
The other week I was on Amazon trying to find a good set of make-up brushes that weren't overpriced and good quality. I have a couple of Real Techniques brushes, and as much as I love them, they are around £8 for one and I know that I can get equally as good ones for a much cheaper price. And voila, that's just what I did.
I came across a pack a 4 brushes that looked like they were for your foundation and base. I looked at the reviews and they seemed to be really good so I took the risk and ordered them. I got 4 brushes for £3.75 (I think). They came a couple of days ago and I am so so so happy with them. The quality is AMAZING. There isn't that chemically smell that I know you get with some cheaper make-up brushes. There has been no shedding and they aren't thin.
HERE is where you can buy the brushes. There is a range of colours to pick from, but I chose the white. I'm pretty sure they also have some eye make-up brushes as well.
Below are some pictures of the brushes and what I'm going to be using them for.
Okay, here is the first brush. It's a round angled brush, and I use this for contouring with a darker foundation. It picks up the product really well and because the bristles are dense it buffs it in so so well.
The second brush, below, is a flat top stippling brush. I use this to apply my all over face foundation. Its the best brush I have ever used to apply my foundation. I used to use the real Techniques expert face brush, and I do love that brush, but it's quite small for all my face, its more ideal for concealer under the eyes. This new brush however is a lot bigger and is still very dense so works the product into my skin for a flawless look.
The next brush is similar to the first one, but not angled. I actually haven't used this brush yet as I have only had them a couple of days and not really worn a full face of make-up. However, I definetly will use it as its just as good quality as the rest of the brushes. I think this will be ideal for cream blusher, highlighter or contour.
The last brush is a slightly different shape to the rest. Its a pointed brush, and oh my gosh the bristles are so dense its unreal. I use this brush to blend in concealer on my face and under my eyes as the point is really good to focus in areas and get into the corner of my eye. I think this brush might be my favourite out of the four, it's just such good quality.
The only bad thing I have to say is that it says free delivery, but when I've gone back and checked my confirmation email, 30p was added for postage and packaging which I wasn't aware about. However, it's only 30p and I'm not really bothered because the brushes are worth it.
Anyone who is just starting to love make-up and wants to experiment with some cheap brushes NEEDS these. For the price, they are so worth it. I honestly would pay the price of high end brushes for these.
They also make great gifts. I bought an extra set for my Mum for Mothers Day and I know she will love them.
Hope this post was helpful!!
See you soon.
Lots of kisses
